Logan's Birthday Cake

My good friend, Jennifer, asked me to make a cake for her son, Logan's, 1st birthday. She wanted to do a farm theme. I had fun making this cake. It was half yellow and half chocolate and the biggest cake I've done so far.

Here's Jennifer and Logan.

Family birthday cakes

I did these cakes for my counsins' kids birthdays. This one was for the girls. It was a strawberry cake, and it was a hit!

This one was for the boys. It was a marble cake.

Another view of the boys' cake.

Here are the girls as we sang Happy Birthday to them (in 5-part harmony no less!).

And the boys...

Finally in Florida!

Wes and I finally made it to Florida after a month of hard work! We love the Gulf side of Florida for their white sand and clear blue water. It just doesn't get much better than this!

Our annual tradition of leaving our mark in the sand.

Not only does the west coast of FL have beautiful beaches, they also have gorgeous sunsets like this one.

Visiting Friends

Wes and I had the chance to meet up with Monica and Jay in the Orlando area. We had such a good time with them! Wish we could've hung out longer.

The boys...and yes, I do mean boys!

Wes and Jay thought it would be funny to have a cart race in the Target parking lot...although I'm not sure who they're racing against!

This is a street performer in Clearwater. He was pretty entertaining and brave (or stupid, depends on your point of view)!

Trip to Clearwater

So, because I got really sun-burned, we decided not to lay out on the beach all day and instead took a trip to Clearwater to hang out and eat at one of our favorite restaurants, Crabby Bill's. We decided at the last minute to take a boat ride to see "celebrity" homes and dolphins.

Here is the only celebrity that I had heard of during their tour...this is Hulk Hogan's house...the one they filmed the reality show at. Although, now the house belongs to his ex-wife and her new boyfriend. Oh well!

We did get to see a school of dolphins while we were out. They followed the wake of our boat and jumped out of the water several times. It was pretty cool!

The happy couple...

For some reason, we were enthralled with the full moon and wanted to take pictures with it. Wes did some camera magic and was able to get this photo of me kissing the moon.

IU cake

I did this cake for a girl at work. Her son turned 18, and he's going to IU in the fall. I got two more cake orders from her for the end of the month! Business is picking up :)
